First Look At Dylan O'Brien In 'American Assassin'

Teen Wolf and Stiles lovers, be prepared for Dylan O’Brien’s upcoming new action-thriller movie ‘American Assassin’, as this will be a side you’ve never seen before!

Dylan will be taking on the role of a CIA black ops recruit called Mitch Rapp. American Assassin is based on Vince Flynn’s best-selling novel and follows Mitch Rapp, a counter-terrorism agent who is under the construction of Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Michael Keaton). Mitch and Stan are hired by CIA Deputy Duty Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan) to investigate what appears to be random attacks on both military and civilian targets. They discover a pattern in the violence attacks which leads them to working with a lethal Turkish agent (Shiva Negar) to stop mysterious operative (Taylor Kitsch) who’s intentions are to start a world war in the Middle East.

Our first look at Dylan’s new character shows us that unlike Stiles who can barely do anything with a bat, Mitch is not to be messed with. Mitch is pointing a gun at the unlucky enemy whilst showing a slicked back hair style and rather bulging muscles. This character is far from Stiles Stilinski, but we are so here for both of them! Damn, doesn’t he look good?!

The movie’s Twitter page has informed us that this time round, the role may be an ‘initial shock’ to fans as Mitch Rapp is “a decidedly adult role.”

2016 has been quite the year for Dylan and his career as he is still filming for Teen Wolf’s final season, has another film ‘Deep Water Horizon’ coming out September 30th and after production for The Maze Runner: The Death Cure was shut down and pushed back a year due to being injured on set, it looks like filming arrangements are being arranged to be opened early 2017. Although Dylan has spent the past few months recovering from the terrible incident, it seems that he is slowly getting back on track and in to action! American Assassin does not yet have a release date and it is still too early on in filming, but we will be sure to keep you updated!
